NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Florida. - A married middle school teacher was arrested for having sex with a 14-year-old student.
Stephanie Peterson, 26, a former science teacher at the New Smyrna Beach Middle School, is accused of having a sex with her former 7th grade student beginning in November of 2017. Peterson allegedly told the boy to keep their sexual activity secret. She also bought him marijuana and paraphernalia. She also sent him nude photos on Snapchat and Instagram with her face clearly visible. This made it easy for police to identify her.
